Your kids are not for dress up

Come on...if you wanted to play dress up than you should have gotten a Barbie or Ken doll...depending on your persuasion...sex aside...and in all seriousness we are living in the time of the entitlement epidemic...parenting gone awl and kids who want need and have to have...why are so many parents decorating their kids as a way of establishing themselves and calling attention to their station in life...i mean really people...ipods, ipads, iphone...IWANT...that is the mantra of so many people today....remember apple tree...be a better role model if you so choose....from sports, to clothing, accessories, electronic and even friends so many parents are making up for their insecurities and feeling of inadequacy by dressing up and parading their kids about....why do 12 year old boys care so much about wearing hollister brand shirts...why do so many girls forgo barbie, playdates and crayons in hopes of making a soccer team...why do kids send nasty emails...why do parents need to make bar mitzvah parties nicer than a royal wedding...why do girls worry about the color of their nail polish, keratin hair treatments and tory burch shoes....i have a couple of ideas why...because their parents have more money, more education and more need to display their gems...children or stones...because mom and dad sucked at soccer, even thought it is a gross motor skill sport and the very reason why it is the one so many kids can play in kindergarten...oh and because everyone else is playing because their parents sucked as well and your little xx or xy needs to stay in the mix with their bff so that no one will ltas at your offspring and cause a riff in your social status...so remember that unless you want a rotten apple you better give your tree some fertilizer so that you feel better and don't live through your kids...thats my story and i'm sticking to it!
